| Expires: Sun, 12/14 4:00am | Severity: Moderate | Certainty: Observed |
Details:
In light of the 4 to 8 inches of fluffy snow that fell over the area on Saturday, northwest winds gusting from 20 to 25 mph overnight will result in some blowing and drifting snow on area roadways. Many roads are already snow covered and hazardous, especially in rural areas. Given that wind chills will fall to colder than 20 below zero overnight, getting stuck while traveling will be especially dangerous. If you must travel tonight, leave plenty of distance between vehicles, make sure you have an emergency kit with you, and notify someone of your travel plans and expected arrival time. |
