Details:
West-southwest winds will increase markedly...with gusts reaching 35-45mph from late morning through mid-afternoon. The strong winds may make travel difficult for high-profile vehicles, especially on north-south oriented roads such as I-55, I-155, and I-57. Due to the strong/gusty winds and low relative humidity values, an elevated fire danger will exist across central Illinois today. Brush and leaf burning should be avoided as any fires could quickly spread out of control. |
