Details:
...Slippery Road Conditions Possible Today... An area of enhanced light snow will move across central Illinois the rest of this morning to the afternoon hours. Snow rates should be light and less than a quarter inch per hour, though a narrow zone of locally higher rates over Knox County at 9 am could advance across the Illinois River to near I-55 the rest of this morning. Total snow amounts could reach up to an inch or two by the end of the afternoon, mainly on untreated surfaces. With temperatures at or below freezing in most central and southeast Illinois, snow will readily accumulate on untreated roadways. Make sure you allow extra time if traveling today. |
