This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois and southeast Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected this evening and tonight. A
few of the storms may be capable of gusty winds and locally heavy
downpours.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Additional periods of showers and thunderstorms are anticipated
Thursday through Friday night. These are not expected to be severe.
There will be daily chances for thunderstorms Sunday through
Tuesday, especially north of I 70. There is potential for severe
weather and heavy rain with these storms, although uncertainty in
timing and location remains high.
Increasing heat and humidity will bring heat index values to around
100 for Sunday and Monday, and could result in heat related illness
with extended exposure.
