After a cold front sweeps across the area late this afternoon and evening, a more seasonable airmass will move in for tonight, through the upcoming weekend. A low pressure system will track northwest from the Ohio Valley into central Illinois, bringing the next chance for widespread rainfall late Friday afternoon into Saturday.
