| Smoke will linger over central IL today, and an Air Quality Alert remains in effect. Tonight thunderstorms are likely, with some possibly severe. These will linger into Tuesday east of I-55. Temperatures will be slightly above normal through Tuesday with highs near 90 and heat index approaching 100 in much of the area. Cooler temperatures are expected Wednesday through Friday, with highs around 80. |
